This is a one chapter work. Zacharias Ursinus was the primary author of the Heidelberg Catechism. The following text can be found in Ursinus’ exposition of question and answer 114 in his “Commentary on the Heidelberg Catechism,” pp. 608-612 (english translation by G.W. Williard, 1852; reprinted by P & R).The electronic edition of this text was scanned and edited by Shane Rosenthal for Reformation Ink. Marshall, W. – The Gospel Mystery of Sanctification
Walter Marshall was an English Presbyterian minister – a Puritan – best known today for this excellent work on sanctification. Born in 1628, he was forced to leave his parish in the infamous Great Ejection of 1662. However, he remained faithful to the call of God, shortly finding another congregation which he pastored until his death in 1680. Continue reading
