Before you download this work, consider for a minute, “Have you donated to David Cox recently?” This work took me 2 days of time to format correctly. The Gutenberg copy had bold and italics indicators (as _ and +) everywhere the original had italics or bold. I had to go through the entire work TWICE, marking and making the text italic or bold. Took me 2 days. For this work, as well as maintaining and paying for the website where you are downloading this work (which I have done for some 10+ years now), nobody seems to care, donate, nor anything, except download gigabytes of files from my websites (I have about 20 Gigabytes of downloads each month). Send me $5 please.

Torrey Fundamental Doctrines of the Christian Faith
fam50 The Christian as a Worker examines work, work ethics, and what the Bible commands Christians concerning work.
Excerpt: Since the creation of the human being, God has given men work to do. Even in the garden, their principal work was to dress and keep (guard) the garden, their source of food. So, God wants man to be occupied (to always work). There is a saying that “idle hands are the devil's workshop.” It is certain that people do not know how to handle prosperity. Just look at the sins people get into in their retirement. In God’s eyes, they dedicate their lives at that point to things without eternal value. God knows that if man focuses on surviving, on sustaining himself and family, etc. that he is less inclined to sin and get into idle vices. Psalms 128:2 For thou shalt eat the labor of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. There is nothing better than working hard and enjoying the fruit of your labors.

Buy me a piece of Mexican SweetBread!
Everybody likes sweet bread. In Mexico, it is a tradition to eat this sweetbread with coffee or hot chocolate before going to bed. But alas, while you are also enjoying the delicious stuff from my websites, I am out of money. A gift of any amount will at least let us buy a piece of sweetbread.
Please donate something for the upkeep of this website. I am bearing the burden of the monthly upkeep for years now, and I only have a few donations PER YEAR out of all of my websites, and that only like $25 dollars each time.
